Spring Rec. Season 

Our spring recreational season is our primary season beginning in February and ending in May. The spring season may be inter-league based. We recommend those interested in beginning their softball career start here! Enrollment in the Spring season guarantees placement on a team. Please see FAQs below for additional information.

Does my player need experience to play?

No. Experience is not required to participate in our Spring Season.

What are the division age requirements?

A player's age as of September 1st determines their Softball division. Check the USA age chart here

What equipment do I need to purchase?

What does the Registration Fee cover?

Registration fees assist with uniform costs, registration with USA Softball, Umpire fees, CSD field-use fees, league-wide insurance, special league events, field equipment, operational costs and more.

Can I opt-out of Volunteer hours?

Parents/Guardians may pay a fee to opt out of the required volunteer hours at the time of registration.

When & where is practice?

Practices for Spring may begin the first week of February. Most teams practice 2 days/week until Games start then drop to 1 practice/week + game days.

The head coach determines practice schedules. Check our locations for potential game/practice fields.

How can I request a refund?

Submit your refund request form here. 

When is the deadline for refunds?

Refund amounts vary by period of submission.

Prior to Registration Closing → Full Refund (100%)

Prior to Uniform Orders → Partial Refund (75%)

Prior to Start of league Practices  → Partial Refund (40%)

March or after → No Refund

Can I request a "buddy"?

Special requests are not permitted due to the amount of protected players each team is allowed.

How are teams formed?

Players (other than 6U players and protected players) attend assesments for evaulations by coaches for the draft. 

6U players are placed via blind draft.

8U assesments are ONLY for Pitchers & Catchers. All other players are placed via blind draft.

Note: If a player does not show up to assessments, they will be randomly placed on a team.

When do I find out what team my player is on?

Teams are usually formed by early-February whereas your head coach will contact you (via registration contact information) shortly after.  

Note: If you do not hear from a coach by the end of February, please notify the League.
