Our league is partnered with the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation which is accepting scholarship applications for EGGSL Spring 2024. The scholarship program does not cover the full cost of registration; therefore, it's the applicant's responsibility to cover the additional cost or provide volunteer(s) to help the league during the spring season.
Here are the steps in which are taken to apply for a scholarship.
Step 1. Complete the below EGGSL scholarship application.
Step 2. Apply for an Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation scholarship at click here.
Step 3. The EGGSL scholarship committee will review your application.
Step 4. You will be notified via email if you are awarded a scholarship and provided the final steps in completing your child's registration.
Applications are reviewed as they are received. The application deadline is: January 31, 2024.
Scholarship Process:
1. Requestor completes this EGGSL scholarship application
2. Requestor applies for the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation Scholarship (This is an external organization)
3. The final deadline for all applications is January 31st, 2024. After this date, the Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation (External Organization) will meet with their Board of Directors and review all the scholarship applications they've received. At this time the Board will decide on how much support they are able to provide each requestor.
4. Once approved, usually within a week of the board meeting, the Elk Grove Youth Foundation will notify both the requestor and Elk Grove Girls Softball League (EGGSL) of the amount the requestor was approved. At this time, EGGSL will update the registration for the requestor with the scholarship amount.
5. The requestor will now register for EGGSL Spring league and pay the outstanding amount to complete registration.
